Happy Birthday USMC!

'
we set the table to have our own "Ball" and made
a birthday cake
any excuse to have cake, right?
around the centerpiece we put pictures of our family
doing things that involved the Marine Corps

the next night Aunt Jill, Megan and Great Grandma
Zelent played at home with us girls while Daddy
took Great Grandpa Zelent to the squadron Ball
-----------
Here is Daddy, about to leave, taking a moment for
some tea with Jill and Brynnlee : )

Kiss goodnight
Daddy was Brynnlee's handsome prince that night

Daddy and Great Grandpa at the 303 Ball

The decline of a photo opportunity....

I thought the girls were dressed so cute for church one morning so I set them down to take their picture together. Here you can witness the quick decline of a sweet moment between sisters. I just kept taking pictures until I feared for Teagan's safety..... : )
B: sort of ok with this
T: looking kind of like "hey, it wasn't me!"

and then things started getting ugly....

DON'T TOUCH ME!

stay on YOUR side!!!

oh boy.........

Halloween 2009 at HMLA/T-303 and Christ the King

My fairy princess...and her sippy cup
: )
she waited in the front yard for her friend
Sophia to arrive so we could all go over
to the squadron for the "haunted hangar"
again this year. Sophia is Brynnlee's
favorite friend in the world. :)
She stood in the yard yelling "SoPHIA,
WHERE AAARRRREEE YOU?"

B and Sophia

The next night doing Trunk'n'Treat
at Christ the King
She said she "already WAS a fairy princess"
so while I was at a church meeting Eric
helped her dress as Kai Lan (a cartoon
character that teaches Chinese) thanks to the
Chinese New Year outfit our old neighbors
Linda and Raymond gave Brynnlee last year!
*** please note we are not attempting to
teach our daughter Chinese : ) it is just the
theme of a show she likes. We would like her
to master English, Spanish and French before
we leave the romance languages.... hahaha....

on the prowl for candy

Teagan dressed as a reindeer... b/c it was warm
and we had it from Brynnlee's first Christmas.
We find it funny that B wore this at 2-3 months
and Teagan wore it at 6 mos.... ; )

Around the house in October

Teagan the day she had her six month shots.
We were a little late but I still posed her like I
used to pose Brynnlee - disposable diaper and all!

Grandpa was in town for work and had time for
a visit and dinner one evening. Here he is
making Teagan laugh. : )

hanging out with Brynnlee's "bobbi-baby"

enjoying some peas and exercises.... cuz they go
together, right? :)

my new absolute favorite picture.....

the growling was about : )

a smattering of pictures to catch up.... : )

Brynnlee and her friend Orrin watching a movie
(Babe the Pig... the only movie B likes... hence
the request "play that baby pig movie PULEASE!!")

hanging out in the back yard

Brynnlee tires to help Teagan by putting toys
closer and within her reach

sharing a laugh early one morning

making pizza dough

another happy girl : )

in mommy and daddy's bed while mommy
takes a quick shower

ditto!

loving on "the momma baby" as B calls this one
I had this baby when I was little... I think Grammy
sewed the hair back on MANY times for me : )

Brynnlee the day she found the balloons that were
left from her birthday.... say CHEESE!

my morning girl... my VERY EARLY morning girl

bouncing to her little heart's content : )

Brynnlee's Birthday - I know... I'm two months behind....

the happy birthday girl is TWO!

enjoying dinner at her PUPPY PARTY
she specifically asked for this type of party...
who knew they made plates and napkins for just
this type of party?
we even found fabric so I could make little
table cloths to match! : )

When we asked B what she wanted for her birthday
she said Sophia... so that is the only friend she had over
that day - it worked great to keep a wee two year old
from feeling overwhelmed!
A few of our church friends (Brynnlee's adopted aunts
and uncles) and OF COURSE, Jill and her girls
celebrated with us! : ) We are so blessed to have someone
in the family live just an hour away!!!

oh... and she also said a bike... here she is sitting on her
new tricycle talking on her cell phone : )

her own cake with a number 2!
